A pretty little brass bell.  Note there is no clapper.

This little bell is in lovely used condition.  There is a pretty engraved leaf design around the body of the bell. “India” is stamped into the metal inbside the bell.    Base 6.5 cms – 6 cms  high.  The tinkling of an elephant bell reminds me of old period movies where the bell on the hotel desk was often one of these elephant bells.    The really old ones have a lovely history going back many years when they were hung underneath the belly of elephants.  I believe they were used on other animals.
